Meet Kathy

Diversity Advancement Coach

Kathy Moodie's experience in aviation, manufacturing, and operations amplified her ability to spearhead a large multi-functional organization. She was responsible for aligning, standardizing, and strengthening the Everette site (~42,000 employees) with transformation in infrastructure, material/logistics, tooling/equipment and new technology. Moodie’s ability to cultivate relationships with customers and suppliers, along with stream-lining production, strengthened The Boeing Company’s delivery operations.

During her tenure, Moodie never lost sight of her passion to develop talent and advocate for diversity.  Forging ahead with the first-ever Boeing Commercial Airplanes “Empowering Women” workshop in 2017, she show-cased her ability to attract outstanding panel leaders, design and execute an event with over 150 participants, and inspire diversity and inclusion across the Boeing Everett Site.  Moodie has also been instrumental in many lunch & learns, speaking engagements and panels.  She was the award recipient at The Boeing Company’s diversity & inclusion even in 2018 and awarded the first ever “Legacy of Leadership” for developing leaders in 2019.  Moodie described by her mentees as, “resilient, inspiring, and has empowered people to be their best; with grace”.

Moodie has participated in numerous boards with the most recent United Way of Snohomish County; an organization that helps to build a community where all families have access to opportunity for generations to come.

Moodie has an MBA from Seattle University, and a bachelors’ degree in Business Administration from Western State College of Colorado.  She also graduated from Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program.  She is a private pilot and active in water ski tournaments.

Moodie is actively support by her husband and 22-year old daughter in ensuring balance, health and fun are achieved.
